One of West London’s best loved home grown talents Si Kurrage has been a dedicated vinyl junkie since his rise to fame in the common room at Richmond College in 1992. 20 years of digging in charity shops for old 45’s, dusty 12’s, second hand projectors and anything else that might come in handy at a rockin party. Kurrage is forever in search of musical awareness.
Working firstly for the original rave organization “World Dance” and then “Milk and 2 Sugars” Simon is now production manager and a Resident Dj at the hugely successful “Mulletover” events. Si Kurrage prefers not to be musically tied to one specific genre of music. He strives to create a unique blend of whats new and old and all that’s in between to take you on an aural adventure every time.
In his own words “I play from the heart”, “ I love music, I love sharing music, I love freeing it from the record!” Along the way Kurrage has amassed a close network of London based Djs and promoters, he is co-founder of the famous “Size Doesn’t Matter” seven inch only night, Disco King of the sultry and ever so slightly saucy “Aphrodisiacs” and a firm regular at the “Canal Parties”, “The Notting Hill Carnival” and regularly supports Rootikal, Sancho Panza, Black Rabbit and many more besides…
Kurrage can be found throwing down the freshest beats when and wherever he goes, blessing ear drums with his twisted take on what a DJ should be. Causing havoc, starting riots, leading your sons and daughters astray, coming home late, finding the the best crowds to get down with and generally spanking the arse out the London Club scene. Fantastic records an eye for a space and soul full of bass are but a small part of this mans deadly arsenal and charm. Now a festival regular and one of our favourites.
This DJ blesses the decks when you need a little dancing fever…
