KMT is the abbreviation for Kemit, the previous name of Egypt, choosing the name to indicate, like the progressive nature of the country’s indigenous ancestors, his constant quest for education and positivity through music.
KMT specialises in UK black/urban music fusing Hip-Hop, R’n’B, Dance Hall, Neo Soul, Soul, Broken Beats, World, Grime and Pop.
KMT has been working on radio and stages throughout the world for over 12 years, playing venues like Cargo, Shunt, Fabric, Stoke Rochford Hall, African Cup of Nations 2008 (Ghana), and Glastonbury.
He has an ear like any brilliant A&R, constantly sourcing the freshest beats to air before any others; he was the first D.J to play 100% U.K music and interview the likes of Estelle (V2 Records), Tubby T, Ace & Invisible (BBC Radio 1Xtra), and Sway before they became household names.
A community advocate of creating peace, love, unity and respect through his teaching and music – It will be an education.
