DJ Jay Q has been hooked on Hip Hop ever since hearing Run DMC & The Beastie Boys as a teenager! Growing up in South London, he was inspired by legends such as Rakim, Ice T, LL Cool J, Public Enemy & Ice Cube.
Jay Q presents his own radio show, dedicated to old school Hip Hop & classic anthems from Rap’s golden era: "The Hip Hop Hooray Show" goes out live, worldwide every Sunday night exclusively on Radio King Online. As well as dropping hot tracks from back in the day, Jay also educates his listeners with his in depth knowledge & passion for Hip Hop culture.
Each week he releases his popular podcast series, hosted on iTunes. The show is regularly in the Rap/RnB chart top 5 & receives over 6000 downloads each week from listeners in the USA, South America, Russia, Europe, Africa, the Far East & the Middle East.
Jay has worked alongside Fullee Love aka Soup from Jurassic 5, Burt Blackarach (Grammy winner & Public Enemy’s producer) and Baby Blue & Kryoman.
