Haas Diop is a well rounded artist who expresses his "Hip Hop-ness" with quite a unique style primarily in American "West Coast" English but also sprinkling his French influence in the mix showcasing his ability to transition seamlessly from American English in French in an emcee style unique and pioneering. His songs touch on personal experiences and incites that are relatable to a wide audience. He is a relevant artist, primarily resonating with the youth market. Catchy hooks and dope rhymes are just the surface of what this artist wants to convey. He is the missing music link between inner city life in the U.S and the francophone world through out (Europe and Africa). This multi-cultured musical mesh brings Europe to the hood in a way that has yet to be done by a mainstream Hip Hop artist.
For many years Haas found inspiration from the legendary Root Down Club, in it’s 17 year history the club saw the emergence of superstars of Hip Hop such as; The Black Eyed Peas, Jurassic 5, Beat Junkies, The Beat Nuts and Aloe Blacc. Here he met resident DJ, Burt Blackarach, a the producer that has him channelling his full ability as an emcee and expansion of his style into new sounds and beats.
In 2014 Haas has found his true voice and calling in the Hip Hop world. 2015 looks bright for this young artist, already tipped to be household name in America and the Euro-African music market.
The debut solo album is due out in the first quarter of 2015 ‘Dollars, Yens & Euros.’
