Paul “Trouble” Anderson’s All Star Macmillan Cancer Charity event 20th May 2012 @ Ministry Of Sound

On a late spring evening in May at the world famous Ministry of Sound nightclub, something rather special was fluttering in the Dance Industry air. One by one they were arriving, promoters, DJs, recording artists, MCs, musicians, dancers, photographers and a film crew. All were giving their time and services in support of Paul “Trouble” Anderson’s event for the Macmillan Cancer Charity. Many tickets had been bought and sold and the club was filling up nicely with music loving party people.

This one off All-Star special event was a celebration of Paul Anderson’s huge contribution to UK dance music.
He has maintained a prominent presence for an impressive thirty years, entertaining, influencing and inspiring from way back with; the Trouble Funk Sound System, the Loft at HQs, the Wag, the Electric Ballroom, The Park, through to Kiss FM and the current Trouble’s Loft to name a few. He has graced many turntables on both, national and international levels and managed to cross genres and generations affording himself a uniquely incredible list of achievement.

On that very special night in the Ministry of Sound’s Main Room (Loft), host Mr Steve Jackson kept the crowd on a high-octane level of anticipation and excitement throughout the evening. Lisa Millet “Tore it up”. Bryan Chambers gave a spellbinding performance. Robert Owens delivered an electrifying live vocal and DJ set whilst Alison Limerik went on to re-establish, exactly where love was living.

Meanwhile in the Bar, Marcia Carr was “Doing It Good” giving the crowd an unpredictable acoustic display of Marcia class. Later on, Karisma caressed us with his sharp style in a heavenly fashion. Over at the Baby Box, Mr Gordon Mac, was in full effect, the heat was on! Upstairs in the VIP Loft, Norman Jay, MBE’s set soothed the industry's finest and revellers alike into preparation for the finale.

Back to Main Room where the one and only CJ Mackintosh came to do Special Business surging the love up yet another notch, could the vibe get any higher?...YEAH BABY! Trouble was in the land - By the time Paul “Trouble” Anderson was firmly in position behind the decks, it was a Spiritual Thing!

What a majestic line-up. What an immense turnout. What a magnificent night. What a tribute of appreciation!

As Paul likes to say, “A house is where you live…” Well, there is no doubt that at that moment in time, immense love was in the house.

Advanced Dance Music truly does live in the legend that is, Mr Paul “Trouble” Anderson.
